- 1/2 c. milk
- 3 Tbsp. melted and cooled butter or shortening
- 2 egg yolks, beaten
- 1 rounded c. flour
- 1 scant tsp. baking powder
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 2 egg whites, beaten stiff
Directions

1In medium bowl, combine first four ingredients.

2In separate bowl, sift dry ingredients.

3Add the liquid into the dry ingredients. Beat until smooth. Fold in beaten egg whites.

4Bake in Belgian waffle maker.
