- 1/3 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons butter, room temperature
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 cups frozen berries (if using fresh, reduce baking time by 5 minutes)
- 1/2 cup sugar (more, if using tart berries)
- 1 1/2 cups boiling water
- 1/4 teaspoon liquid stevia
Directions

1Cream together butter and 1/3 cup sugar.

2Add milk, flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir until mixed, about 30 seconds. Batter will be thick and slightly lumpy.

3Spread batter evenly in the bottom of an ungreased 9 x 13 x 2 inch pan.

4Top with frozen (or fresh) berries.

5Sprinkle with 1/2 cup sugar. If not using stevia, increase sugar to 1 cup or to taste.

6Pour boiling water over berries, dissolving sugar.

7Dribble stevia extract into water.

8Bake at 425 degrees F for 35 minutes, until biscuit topping is firm and golden brown. If using fresh berries, bake for 30 minutes.
