- 10 medium Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced
- 7 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
- 2 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
- 2 c. quick cooking oats
- 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 Tbsp. cinnamon
- 1 1/2 c. well chilled, unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
Directions

1Preheat oven to 375°.

2Butter 2 x 10 x 15-inch baking dish. Toss apples with lemon juice in large bowl.

3Add 1 cup brown sugar and toss to coat.

4Arrange apple mixture in even layer in prepared baking dish.

5Mix remaining 1 cup brown sugar, oats, flour and cinnamon in large bowl.

6Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse meal.

7Sprinkle mixture evenly over apples.

8Bake about 1 hour.
