- 1 egg
- 1 c. milk
- 2 Tbsp. honey or maple syrup
- 2/3 c. cornmeal
- 3/4 c. flour, sifted
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 Tbsp. melted butter
Directions

1Beat egg until light and frothy. Add milk and honey.

2Combine the cornmeal, flour, baking powder and salt. Add butter and stir well.

3Pour the batter into a greased baking pan. Bake at 425° for 20 minutes.

4Serve with fresh butter.

5Beat until stiff 1/2 pint heavy cream and 1 egg, beaten.

6Refrigerate.
