  • 2 c. brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 c. light syrup
  • 1 stick butter or oleo
  • pinch of cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 5 qt. popped popcorn
  • 1 c. salted peanuts

Directions

    Boil syrup, butter and cream of tartar for 5 minutes.

    Quickly stir in soda.

    Add peanuts to popcorn.

    Pour syrup over corn.

    Mix thoroughly.

    Spread on 2 lightly greased cookie sheets.

    Bake in slow oven at 200° for 40 minutes.

    Stir every 10 minutes.

    Take out and cool.
