- 18 medium size peaches, peeled and sliced
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. flour (heaping)
- 1 c. water
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 c. flour
- 1 Tbsp. Crisco
- 1/4 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Put peaches, sugar, 1 heaping tablespoonful flour, water and butter in boiler.

2Cook until peaches are done and juice is thick. Set aside.

3Combine 1 cup flour, Crisco and buttermilk and mix together for your crust.

4Halve the dough mixture.

5On a floured surface, roll out thin.

6Put peach mixture in Pyrex dish.

7Put crust on top.

8Put in oven and brown crust.

9Add remainder of peach mixture to dish.

10Roll out remaining dough.

11Cover pie with top crust, either lattice type or solid crust.

12You may sprinkle lightly with sugar if preferred.

13Bake at 425° until crust is brown.
