Ingredients

  • 2 c. creamed cottage cheese (can use fat-free)
  • 2 Tbsp. butter (omit for fat-free)
  • 1 Tbsp. dill seed
  • 2 Tbsp. minced green onion
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs, beaten or 1/2 c. Egg Beaters
  • 1/2 c. warm water
  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 5 c. unbleached flour

Directions

    Warm cheese and butter slightly.

    Add dill, onion, sugar, soda, salt and eggs.

    Beat until blended.

    Combine water and yeast; stir until blended.

    Stir into cheese mixture.

    Add flour. Knead.

    Let rise.

    Shape into 2 (8 x 4-inch) loaves.

    Rise to top of pan.

    Bake at 375° for 35 to 45 minutes.
