Ingredients

  • 1 c. self-rising flour
  • 1 c. oatmeal
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2 big Tbsp. molasses
  • 1 stick margarine, heated
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. Saco Big Chunk chocolate pieces
  • 1/2 c. diced dates
  • 1/2 c. broken pecans

Directions

    Mix dry ingredients together with wooden spoon.

    Add margarine, egg and vanilla to mixture and stir.
  3. 3
    Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of flour onto the dates to keep them from sticking together and add dates, nuts and chocolate.

    Stir.

    Pour into 9 x 13-inch baking pan and spread with fingers.

    Mixture will be thick.

    Cook at 325° for 15 minutes.

    Do not overcook.
