  • 1 1/2 c. sifted flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2/3 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 c. chopped dates
  • 1 c. halved candied cherries
  • 1 c. sugar

Directions

    Preheat oven to 325°. Grease loaf pan well and line bottom with wax paper. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together. Mix in chips, nuts, dates and cherries until well coated with flour. In a large bowl, beat eggs well on medium speed; gradually add sugar. Fold into flour mixture; turn into pan. Bake 1 1/2 hours.
