Bj'S Slow-Cooked Pulled Pork

  • Pork shoulder or country style ribs, 4 to 5 pounds
  • Salt & pepper
  • Cooking oil for searing the meat (optional)
  • 6 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 1 Chipotle chile packed in adobo sauce
  • 2 cups of water

Directions

    1. Sprinkle salt and pepper on both sides of the meat pieces

    2. (Sear meat in a hot oiled pan on both sides first, if desired) Place meat in slow cooker.

    3. Add garlic, soy sauce, chipotle, and water to slower cooker. Cover and cook until meat is very tender and falling apart (on low setting for about 6 hours, or on high setting for about 3 hours).

    4. Using forks or spoons, pull meat from bones and shred into pieces.
