- 1 pkg. black beans
- 1 large yellow onion
- 3 large cloves garlic
- 3 cans low-fat low sodium chicken broth
- 2 Tbsp. chili powder
- 2 Tbsp. paprika
- 3 squirts Tabasco
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. ground cumin
- jambalaya seasoning to taste
- reduced-fat turkey sausage
- 2 bay leaves
Directions

1Brown sliced turkey sausage in nonstick pan.

2Put browned sausage in large pot with all other ingredients.

3Simmer 2 1/2 hours.

4Thirty minutes before soup is done, take out 1/4 to 1/3 of beans.

5Put in blender and make a paste, then put back into soup to thicken.

6Garnish with fat-free cheese or fat-free sour cream.
