- 3 lb. black beans
- 5 ancho peppers (chili peppers)
- 3 oz. cumin
- 6 cloves garlic
- 3 onions
- 1 bunch cilantro
- black pepper to taste
- 5 beef bouillon cubes
Directions

1Rinse beans, discarding any shriveled beans.

2Soak in cold water.

3Cook 2 hours or until soft.

4Remove seeds from peppers and place peppers in boiling water 15 minutes.

5Grind together peppers, onions, garlic and cilantro and saute.

6Blend cooked beans in blender or food processor in small batches.

7Add bouillon cubes and black pepper.

8Simmer for 1 hour, stirring often.
