- 1/8 lb. salt pork or 2 lb. butter
- 1 pt. minced clams
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 qt. milk
- 2 large potatoes, peeled and diced
Directions

1Dice salt pork and cook until crisp in saucepan; remove pork scraps.

2Saute onion in pork fat or butter until golden.

3Add potatoes and just enough water to be seen.

4Season with salt and pepper to taste, then cover and bring to a boil.

5Reduce heat to low and simmer until potatoes are tender.

6Add clams; let simmer for 2 minutes on low heat.

7Add hot milk and serve.
