- 12 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 12 teaspoon chili powder
- 12 teaspoon garlic powder
- 6 -8 tablespoons crushed tortilla chips (optional)
Directions

1Place all ingredients in a saucepan and mix thoroughly.

2Cover and let simmer for about 20- 25 minutes or until tender add water if needed check your salt to taste .

3plating with Monterey chicken look for my recipe.

4Place beans on the bottom of a plate, covering the middle.

5add white rice on top of beans, Place chicken breast in the middle serve with crushed tortilla chips (optional).
