- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. baking cocoa
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/3 c. milk
- 1/4 c. margarine
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling, divided
- 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
- whipped topping (optional)
Directions

1In a saucepan, combine sugar, cocoa, flour and milk until it is smooth.

2Add butter.

3Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.

4Remove from the heat.

5Stir a small amount of hot mixture into eggs.

6Return all to the saucepan. Fold in half of the pie filling.

7Pour into pie shell.

8Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes or until filling is almost set.

9Cool completely on a wire rack.

10Just before serving, top with remaining pie filling and whipped topping, if desired.

11Yield: 6 to 8 servings.
