- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
- 2 teaspoons freshly ground pepper
- 2 teaspoons whole grain mustard
- 1/2 pound bacon (about 10 slices)
Directions

1Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil then a wire rack.

2Whisk together the maple syrup, pepper, and mustard.

3Lay the bacon on the rack being careful not to overlap.

4Brush the bacon with the syrup mixture.

5Put the baking sheet on the top rack of the oven and bake until golden and crisp, 18 to 20 minutes.

6Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
