- 1 1/2 c. cornmeal
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- scant 1/2 tsp. soda
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1 1/4 c. buttermilk
- 2 eggs
Directions

1Preheat oven to 425°.

2In a 10-inch black skillet or pan, melt oleo.

3Sift together the dry ingredients.

4In separate bowl, beat buttermilk, eggs and melted oleo.

5Add liquids to dry ingredients and mix well.

6Turn into hot skillet and bake for 25 minutes or until done.
