  • 1/2 lb. butter
  • 2 1/2 c. sugar
  • 4 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 c. black walnuts, chopped
  • 1 c. canned milk
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. baking powder

    Cream butter and sugar.

    Add eggs, one at a time, beating 3 minutes for each.

    Mix walnuts through 1/2 cup flour and baking powder.

    Set aside.

    Add remaining flour and milk alternately. Add walnuts.

    Add vanilla last.

    Bake in a greased 10-inch tube pan at 350° for 75 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
