  • 1 c. butter
  • 2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. sour cream
  • 3/4 c. chopped black walnuts

Directions

    Cream butter; add sugar, eggs and vanilla.

    Combine flour, baking powder and salt; blend in along with sour cream.

    Stir in nuts.

    Chill dough.

    Drop by teaspoonful on buttered cookie sheets.

    Bake at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes.

    Can be iced with chocolate butter cream icing.

    Yield: 6 1/2 dozen.
