  • 12 large cabbage leaves steamed
  • 1 cup cornmeal blue
  • 1/2 cup scallions, spring or green onions chopped
  • 1/2 cup corn whole
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup cheese grated

Directions

    While steaming cabbage leaves, mix remaining ingredients except cheese in a sauce pan and stir with a wire whisk over medium heat until mixture is very thick.

    Be cautious to keep mixture stirred thoroughly.

    Roll 1 tablespoon mixture in each cabbage leaf.

    Place in baking dish and cover with cheese.

    Bake for 10 minutes at 300 F.
