- 2 1/3 cup flour
- 1 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 3/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp scant - cloves
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/4 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup oil
- 2 1/3 cup blueberries, frozen
- 1/4 cup turbinado or demerara sugar, optional. provides crunch.
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350.

2Place muffin liners in muffin pan or spray pan with nonstick cooking spray.

3In large bowl, mix dry ingredients.

4In medium bowl, whisk together eggs, buttermilk, and oil.

5Fold in blueberries.

6Pour wet ingredients into dry all at once.

7Mix gently.

8Batter will be thin.

9Bake 18 - 23 minutes.

10If using turbinado sugar, sprinkle it on the muffins during the last 5 minutes of baking.
