  • 6 tart apples, peeled, cored and sliced
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. red hot candies
  • 3/4 c. water

Directions

    In large saucepan, dissolve sugar and red hots in water; bring to boil.

    Simmer apples in this mixture until apples are cooked, turning so all slices are cooked.

    Nice meat accompaniment. Serves 6 to 8.
