  • 2 pkg. (4-serving size each) Jell-O Raspberry Jelly Powder
  • 1 L (4 cups) water
  • 4 firm ripe peeled pears, such as Bosc, Bartlett or Anjou Safeway 1 lb For $1.88 thru 02/09
  • 2 Tbsp. Cool Whip or Cool Whip Light Whipped Topping

    Mix 2 pkg (4-serving size each) Jell-O Raspberry Jelly Powder and 4 cups water in a large saucepan.

    Bring to a boil on medium-high heat, stirring frequently until jelly powder is completely dissolved.

    Add 4 firm ripe peeled pears, such as Bosc, Bartlett or D'Anjou; partially cover saucepan with lid.

    Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer 20 min.

    or just until pears are tender, stirring gently every 10 min.

    Remove pears from liquid; discard liquid.

    Serve pears warm or cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour to overnight.

    Top each pear with 2 Tbsp.

    thawed Cool Whip Topping, if desired.
