  • 1/2 c. self-rising flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 4 Tbsp. margarine or shortening, softened
  • buttermilk

Directions

    Mix together cornbread mix, flour, egg, sugar and margarine or oil. Add buttermilk until it has consistency of a cake. Bake in a 400° oven for 20 to 25 minutes. If any way possible, bake in an iron skillet.
