- 2 c. pinto beans
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 qt. liquid (1/2 cream and 1/2 milk)
- 1 c. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch, dissolved in a little milk
Directions

1Use your favorite sweet dough recipe.

2Cook beans, drain and mash; add salt and sugar.

3When dough is ready to shape, form into balls the size of a large walnut.

4Let rise about 30 minutes. Pull apart and place 1 rounded teaspoonful of bean mixture on dough and close by pressing edges together.

5Place in greased pan and let rise about 30 minutes.

6Bake in moderate oven for 25 minutes.

7Serve with hot sauce.

8(Dough can also be rolled out and cut into 3 to 3 1/2-inch squares and then filled.)
