- 2 lbs raw peanuts, in the shell
- 1 gallon water
- 1 1/4 cups salt
Directions

1Place peanuts in a large saucepan.

2Mix the water and salt to make a birne.

3Cover the peanuts with the brine.

4Bring ot a boil, cover, and boil until the shells are tender-around 45 minutes.

5Remove from heat.

6Let stand 30 minutes, drain well.

7Keeps in the fridge for up to 1 week.
