  • 2 cups (475 ml) raw peanuts in the shell
  • 4 cups (950 ml) water
  • 1-1/2 tsp (7 ml) salt

    Place peanuts in large saucepan.

    Add water and salt.

    Bring to a boil.

    Reduce heat and simmer 25 minutes.

    When done the kernel should have swollen to fill the pod well.

    Drain.

    Serve hot in the shell or cold.
