Boiled Pot Roast

Ingredients
- 4 to 6 lb. round bone or English cut roast
- 5 or 6 large potatoes
- 8 to 10 carrots
- 4 to 5 oz. soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp. minced onion
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 pkg. frozen peas or green beans (optional)
Directions

1Cut roast into 4 or 5 pieces.

2Place in Dutch oven or large soup pot.

3Cover with cold water and add soy sauce, onion, pepper and garlic powder.

4Cover and cook on medium-low heat.

5After 3 hours, peel carrots.

6Cut into 2 to 3 pieces.

7Add to pot; stir and re-cover.

8After another 30 minutes, peel and quarter potatoes. Add to pot and re-cover.

9After 1 1/4 hours, add optional frozen vegetables.

10Cook 15 minutes more.

11Scoop onto platter and serve with fresh bread or rolls.

12Serves 6 to 8.
