  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. white corn syrup
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1/2 c. water

Directions

    Combine sugar, water and syrup; stir well.

    Cook to a soft ball stage or 240° on candy thermometer.

    Pour syrup over stiffly beaten egg whites; beat until icing hold its shape.
