- 8 eggs
- 3 c. sugar
- 1 lb. butter
- 3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 c. bourbon
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 tsp. almond extract
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Preheat oven to 325°.

2Separate egg yolks from whites.

3Beat egg whites until stiff; set aside.

4Mix butter, sugar, yolks and all flavorings in large bowl.

5Mix in flour.

6Fold in egg whites. Butter pans(s).

7Sprinkle 1/2 nuts on bottom of pan(s).

8Add batter, then rest of nuts on top.

9Bake for 1 to 1 1/2 hours, 1 to 1 1/2-inches off oven floor.
