Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 4 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 (12 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 1 c. bourbon whiskey
  • 4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 tsp. wine vinegar
  • 4 tsp. prepared mustard
  • 1 tsp. minced garlic
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 4 to 5 drops Tabasco sauce
  • 2 pkg. cocktail franks

Directions

    Saute onion and green pepper in butter until soft and add remaining ingredients except franks.

    Bring to a boil, then reduce heat.

    Add franks and simmer for 1 hour.

    Transfer to crock-pot or heated chafing dish and provide wooden picks.
