- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup toasted chopped walnuts
- 2/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 5 tablespoons bourbon
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
Directions

1Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.

2Add the walnuts, stirring constantly.

3Add the brown sugar and cook until melted.

4Remove from the heat and carefully add the bourbon.

5Return to the heat and cook out the alcohol, about 3 to 5 minutes.

6Be careful as mixture may ignite.

7Add cream and bring to a slow boil.

8Combine milk and cornstarch.

9Add milk mixture into sauce stirring constantly until thickened.
