Ingredients

  • 1 stick softened butter
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 2 T Crisco
  • 2 pinches salt
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 8 cups powdered sugar
  • milk or cream as needed to get right consistency
  • dried strawberry (or berry), cut into bits
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder to taste/color
  • pink gel food color

Directions

    Beat butter, cream cheese, & Crisco until well-blended. Add pinch of salt. Sift 1 cup of sugar with cocoa, add to butter mixture. Then add rest of sugar, 1 cup at a time. Add berry & cocoa & pink food coloring and adjust as needed to look pinky-brown.

    Add milk or cream to get consistency to allow piping into brain lobes.

    Refrigerate cupcakes. Apply thin coat to cover top of cupcake.

    Pipe into 2 brain lobes. Refrigerate to hold shape.
