Braised Celery

  • 2 c. chopped celery
  • 4 sprigs parsley
  • 4 slices onion
  • 1/2 c. bouillon (beef or chicken)
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 2 strips bacon, chopped
  • buttered bread crumbs

Directions

    Put the celery, parsley, onion and bouillon in a casserole; toss lightly.

    Sprinkle with the salt, pepper and bacon.

    Bake, covered, at 375° for 30 minutes.

    Take out and sprinkle with the bread crumbs.
  5. 5
    Bake, uncovered, for about 10 more minutes.

    The bread crumbs will be brown.
