Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
- 1 1/2 c. bran cereal
- 1/2 c. packed brown sugar or 1/2 c. honey
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. milk
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 1 egg
Directions

1Mix dry ingredients, set aside.

2In small bowl beat milk, oil and egg just to blend.

3If honey is used instead of sugar, add the honey to this wet mixture now.

4If you used brown sugar, put the sugar in with the other dry ingredients.

5Pour mixture over flour mixture, stir just until moistened.

6Turn into 8 x 4 x 2-inch loaf pan.

7Bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes or until toothpick inserted in until it comes out clean.

8Cool in pan 10 minutes, then cool on rack.

9Serve sliced thin.

10Wrap and store airtight.

11Will keep 1 week wrapped, or in the freezer for up to 6 months.
