  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tbsp. shortening
  • 4 Tbsp. sugar or molasses
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 1 c. bran
  • 1 c. all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions

    Preheat oven to 400°.

    Grease muffin tins.

    Assemble doughmaker.

    In small mixer bowl, combine egg, shortening, sugar, milk and bran.

    Mix, using doughmaker setting on #12.

    Sift dry ingredients together and add to liquid mixture.

    Mix with doughmaker just until dry ingredients are moistened.

    Fill muffin tins 2/3 full.

    Bake 20 to 25 minutes.
