  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 1 c. Crisco
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 c. bran
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 pkg. dry yeast, dissolved in 1 c. water
  • 6 c. flour

Directions

    Mix boiling water, Crisco, sugar, bran and salt; let cool. Add eggs and yeast, dissolved in water.

    Add flour and mix well. Let rise 2 hours or store in refrigerator.

    Bake at 375° for 15 minutes.
