- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1-1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 eggs
- 1-1/2 cup brazil nuts, minced
- 1/2 cup sweetened coconut flakes
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 6 oz. semisweet chocolate
- 1/4 cup corn syrup
- 1 tbsp. water
Directions

1Preheat oven to 375F.

2Bottom layer: Mix 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons flour, 1/4 teaspoon salt and blend with 1/2 cup butter.

3Press into 9-inch pan.

4Bake in oven for 10 minutes.

5Second layer: Combine 3/4 cup brown sugar, 2 eggs, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1 cup of the brazil nuts, 1/2 cup coconut, 1 teaspoon vanilla and spread over bottom layer.

6Bake for 30 minutes or a little longer.

7Cool in pan.

8Top layer: Melt chocolate over hot water, stir in corn syrup and water.

9Spread on top and sprinkle with rest of nuts.
