- 1 gal. sliced Cucumbers
- 3 Onions
- 1/2 c. Salt
- 5 c. Vinegar
- 5 c. Sugar
- 1/2 tsp. Ground Cloves
- 1-1/2 tsp. Turmeric
- 2 Tbsp. Celery Seed
- 2 Tbsp. Mustard Seed
Directions

1Take the sliced Cucumbers, Onions and Salt and soak for 4 hours in water.

2Drain.

3Prepare the Vinegar, Sugar, Ground Cloves, Turmeric, Celery Seed and Mustard Seed.

4Heat the solution, place Cucumbers and Onions in it, bring to a boil.

5Turn heat to simmer for about 20-30 minutes; they will lose their green look.

6Pack hot in jars and seal.

7Boil flats a few minutes before serving.

8Makes 7-8 pints.
