Ingredients: 1/4 c. margarine; 1/2 c. sugar; 1 egg; 1/2 c. dark Karo or molasses; 1/2 c. buttermilk; 1/2 tsp. soda; 1/2 c. raisins; 1/2 c. pecans; 1/4 c. cake flour; 1 tsp. cinnamon; 1/2 tsp. cloves; 2 c. bread crumbs or cake crumbs

1/4 c. margarine
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. dark Karo or molasses
1/2 c. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. pecans
1/4 c. cake flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
2 c. bread crumbs or cake crumbs

Directions

Cream margarine and sugar.

Add beaten egg, Karo and buttermilk, mixed with soda, then raisins and nuts mixed with flour, cinnamon and cloves.

Then add bread crumbs.

Mix all together well.

Cover and bake at 350° for 15 minutes.

Uncover and bake 15 minutes longer.

Serve hot or cold.
