  • 2 slightly beaten eggs
  • 2 1/4 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. 1-inch, day-old bread cubes
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. raisins

Directions

    Combine eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon and salt.

    Stir in bread cubes.

    Stir in brown sugar and raisins.

    Pour mixture into an 8 x 1 3/4-inch round ovenware cake dish.

    Place pan in larger shallow pan on oven rack.

    Pour hot water into larger pan 1 inch deep. Bake at 350° about 45 minutes or until knife inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean.
