  • 1 loaf bread
  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 c. milk
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 1/2 self-rising flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder

Directions

    Break bread in small pieces; soak in 2 cups water and 1 cup milk.

    Mix all ingredients, except raisins.

    Roll raisins in 2 tablespoons of flour; spoon in mixture.

    Pour into 13 x 9-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
