  • 4 c. loaf bread
  • 2 c. milk, scalded
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • dash of salt
  • 1/2 c. raisins
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Heat oven to 350°.

    Put bread crumbs in a Pyrex dish.

    Add remaining ingredients and mix together well.

    Place Pyrex dish in pan of hot water about 1 inch deep.

    Bake for 45 to 50 minutes, until a knife inserted comes out clean.
