  • 2/3 c. seedless raisins
  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 2 2/3 c. dry breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 2/3 c. hot milk

Directions

    Melt butter; pour over bread crumbs.

    Fold in raisins.

    Turn into a greased baking dish.

    Beat eggs, sugar and salt.

    Gradually stir into hot scalded milk.

    Pour over bread and let stand 15 minutes.

    Set dish in a pan of water and bake at 350° for 45 minutes to 1 hour.

    Serve with white sauce.
