  • 2 c. milk
  • 1 1/2 c. soft bread crumbs
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 c. nuts
  • 2 eggs, beaten

Directions

    Heat milk; add breadcrumbs and butter. Add sugar, salt and nuts to eggs, then slowly stir in hot milk mixture.

    Pour into greased baking dish; set into pan of hot water.

    Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until set.

    May add 1/2 cup raisins if desired.
