Ingredients

  • 4 cups scalded milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 12 loaf bread
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon or 12 teaspoon nutmeg or 12 cup raisins

Directions

    This will take at least 1/2 loaf of bread.

    Mix eggs, sugar, salt, & vanilla.

    Add scalded milk.

    Wet the bread with water but squeeze as much of it out as possible.

    Make layers of bread, covering with above mixture.

    Sprinkle good with cinnamon and/or nutmeg, and add raisins if desired.

    Bake in a greased oven safe bowl in an oven at 350 degrees for 50-55 minutes until pudding is set.
