- 1 c. sifted flour
- 1 c. cornmeal
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. chopped green pepper
- 2 Tbsp. chopped onion
- 1 c. milk
- 1 beaten egg
- 1/4 c. oil
Directions

1Sift together the dry items (flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder and salt).

2Stir in chopped pepper and onion.

3Add milk, egg and oil.

4Mix until well combined.

5Pour into hot, well greased cornstick or muffin pans.

6Bake at 425° for 12 to 15 minutes. Makes approximately 14 sticks.
