  • 4 to 6 pork chops
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 to 2 eggs
  • flour to dust chops
  • oil
  • 1 stick butter
  • bread crumbs

Directions

    Pound chops; salt and pepper both sides.

    Beat egg(s).

    Dip pork chops into flour, then egg, then bread crumbs, covering both sides.

    Fry in hot oil until brown and crispy on both sides.

    Put chops in roasting pan with water and a pat of butter on top of each pork chop.

    Cover and bake about 1 hour at 350°.

    Then uncover and bake for 30 minutes more.
