Ingredients

  • 4 steaks, 1/4 inch thick (cube steak or palomilla)
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/8 c. lime juice or 1/4 c. sour orange
  • 4 eggs, well beaten
  • 1 c. cracker meal, finely ground
  • 1 lime, cut in wedges
  • 1 onion, sliced into rings
  • garlic salt and black pepper to taste
  • olive oil

Directions

    Sprinkle steaks with garlic salt, black pepper and chopped onion.

    Rub the garlic into the steak.

    Marinate in refrigerator for few hours.

    Coat each steak in cracker meal, then dip in egg. Coat in cracker meal again.

    Fry steak on medium heat until well done.

    Serve with lime wedges and sliced raw onion rings.
