Ingredients

  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 1 c. warm water
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 1 c. Crisco
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 6 c. self-rising flour
  • 2 sticks melted margarine

Directions

    Dissolve yeast in warm water; set aside.

    Melt Crisco in boiling water.

    After melted, add sugar, sifted flour, eggs and yeast mixture.

    Mix well.

    Cover loosely and refrigerate overnight.

    Divide mixture in half and roll out like biscuits. Dip each biscuit in melted butter.

    Place in 9 x 13-inch bread pan.

    Let rise 2 to 3 hours.

    Bake at 350° until done.
